Preschool Initiative Program

A network of over 30 preschools in Sioux City

The Preschool Initiative Program is guided by the Sioux City Community School District.

While each preschool is operated independently, all preschools within the Preschool Initiative Program must follow and maintain the curriculum and staff certification requirements as set forth by the Preschool Initiative.

All preschools within the Sioux City Community School District are affiliates of the Preschool Initiative Program.

What the Sioux City Preschool Initiative provides

  • Certified teacher in every classroom

  • Low student to teacher ratio of 1:10

  • A set curriculum

  • State verification that our program follows state standards

  • Regular Assessment and conferences to monitor your child’s progress

Qualifying children must be Iowa residents and four years old by September 15 of that school year. Example: preschool students for the 2024-2025 school year must be four-years-old by September 15, 2024.
